Connecting Learning Objectives and Assessments
The "Connecting Objectives or Competencies and Assessments" workshop explores how to align assessments with your course and module/unit level objectives. Different types of assessments and the selection of the appropriate assessment instruments for the objectives will be addressed. Participants will use course and module/unit-level objectives from a current course they are teaching to review their assessments to ensure they are measuring the objectives.
Learning Objectives
Describe three types of assessments and list action verbs for each level of Bloom's taxonomy.
Recall questions to ask when determining if the assessment aligns with the objectives.
Determine the type of assessment to use for a course-level objective in an online or blended course.
