Accessible PDFs in 1,2,3!
Meeting Specific Standard 8.3 has never been easier! In this session, we will explore the "nuts and bolts" of Adobe Acrobat DC accessibility tools and create an accessible PDF in 1,2,3! We will create searchable text, set heading styles, label table header rows, check logical reading order, fix contrast issues, set a document title and language, create alt text on images, and even make a scanned document 100% accessible!

Jennifer Glaab, Senior Instructional Designer, University of Tennessee Chattanooga
Jennifer Glaab holds an MS in Education, Instructional Technology from the University of Tennessee Knoxville and an MS in Recreation, Management of Leisure Services from the State University of New York, College at Cortland. She currently works at the University of Tennessee Chattanooga as a Sr. Instructional Designer at the Walker Center for Teaching and Learning and is an adjunct instructor in the Management Department as well as the Sport, Outdoor Recreation, and Tourism Management Department. Jennifer has 10 years’ experience in the field of teaching and learning. Her areas of interest are curriculum development, online course design and delivery, accessibility of course materials, instructional technologies in the classroom, learning management system administration, outdoor education, recreation program planning, and camp administration. Jennifer serves as a Quality Matters Coordinator for UTC, is a certified QM Peer Reviewer, and has recently had two of her own courses certified by QM.
