André Gorgenyi, Chief Development Officer, Tower Hill Botanic Garden
André Gorgenyi is chief development officer at Tower Hill Botanic Garden. Gorgenyi has been raising philanthropic dollars for more than 16 years, most recently as director of facilitating impact with the Salvation Army. In his new role, Gorgenyi will oversee the advancement department for the Massachusetts-based nonprofit organization.
Gorgenyi began with a career in criminal justice serving as an undercover operative. His career in the nonprofit world began with The Salvation Army where he was trained in gift planning. He has also been working in the higher education and medical sectors, before a return to The Salvation Army and now the Botanic Garden.
 
Kathy Hansen, Vice President for Institutional Advancement, College of Saint Benedict
 
Kathy Hansen is Vice President of Institutional Advancement at the College of Saint Benedict. In this role she is responsible for all institutional fundraising and alumnae relations. She currently leads the $100 million Illuminating Lives campaign, focused on growing the college’s endowment and increasing resources for financial aid for students.
Hansen’s career spans three decades, largely in church-related higher education. She served for 17 years at Luther Seminary, rising to the position of Vice President of Seminary Relations and Executive Director of the Foundation. In that role, she oversaw the completion of three capital campaigns that raised a total of over $220 million for the seminary. At the time, they were the largest campaigns ever completed in theological education. She has led fundraising divisions at both Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota and Midland Lutheran College. Hansen has also served as a consultant with the national fundraising consulting firm of Bentz Whaley Flessner, serving liberal arts colleges across the United States.
 
Deborah Peeples, Chief Development Officer, JSSA (Jewish Social Service Agency)
 
Deborah is Chief Development Officer at JSSA, overseeing development & communications/marketing.
She has served with HSUS, WETA-TV/FM, Capital Hospice & IONA senior services. Deborah was named 2008 Outstanding Fundraising Professional by AFP/DC.
