Erica O'Brien, Principal, Fuse Fundraising
Erica O’Brien, Principal and Owner has worked within the marketing and non-profit industry for over twenty years. Before joining the Fuse Fundraising team, she worked at Chapman Cubine & Hussey for nearly a decade, where she served as Principal & Senior Vice President.

Throughout her professional tenure, she is proud to have served a multitude of clients including: AARP and AARP Foundation, Volunteers of America Chesapeake, the Democratic National Committee, The World Jewish Congress, Defenders of Wildlife, Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, Disabled American Veterans, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the Smithsonian.

Erica has always prided herself on helping her clients create and leverage multi-channel strategies that maximize revenue, Member/Donor engagement and organizational brand power. She understands the need for comprehensive systems to address internal organizational and external environmental challenges, and has created dynamic approaches to help handle these needs. Further, she is pleased to have created award-winning creative and package strategies that have established reliable controls for her clients.
 
Meredith Weiss, Director, Supporter Engagement and Retention, International Rescue Committee
 
Meredith Weiss is the Director of Donor Engagement and Retention at the International Rescue Committee. Here she leads a team responsible for the organization’s email, sustainer, and mid-level giving programs. Meredith has a deep commitment to international relief. Prior to joining IRC, Meredith was the Senior Director of Development Operations at World Food Program USA. Meredith has her Masters in Nonprofit Management from UCF and her undergraduate from FSU.
She currently resides in the Washington, DC area with her husband, one-year-old son Everett, and black lab Bosco. In her spare time, she is an amateur potter.

Tom Gaffny is the principal of Tom Gaffny Consulting, an agency dedicated to providing breakthrough Strategic and Creative support for America's best nonprofit organizations. During his career, Tom has received repeated national recognition for his development of high-impact strategic and creative solutions on behalf of his client partners. In his career, he has won 23 ECHO awards for creative excellence from the International Direct Marketing Association, as many as any Creative Director in the world, and more than 200 Creative Awards from the New England Direct Marketing Association. Tom has also been recognized by NEDMA as the region's Direct Marketer of the Year, and has been singled out as Best Copywriter a record 7 times. He has also been recognized as one of the Top Men in Fundraising by Fundraising Success magazine. Prior to beginning this consulting agency, Tom was Executive Vice President of Epsilon's Fundraising division. In this capacity, he led a team of more than 50 marketing professionals, providing consultative fundraising services and support to nearly 200 non-profit organizations nationally and globally, including many of the largest and most prestigious charities in America.
