COVID Donors: One Year Later
Thursday, July 15th, 2021
11:30 AM - 12:30 PM: Breakout 5
At the risk of overuse, 2020 was an unprecedented year for fundraising—but for which organizations, and how? Now one year later, what insights have we gained? Join fundraisers from the American Red Cross, the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, and One & All for a comparison of how nonprofits adjusted their approach through the pandemic, and how you can apply what they learned to future emergency fundraising efforts of your own. We'll share with you approaches, results, and lessons learned including acting on opportunities, finding your own relevant story, and engaging your donors in a compelling way when your mission isn't core to the event.
Learning Outcome #1
By attending this session participants will learn:
Adjust your fundraising plan in an emergency, and the long-term effects of an emergency on your organization's fundraising.
Learning Outcome #2
By attending this session participants will learn:
Successfully adapt your messaging in a donor-centric way whether your organization is directly affected by the emergency or not.
Learning Outcome #3
By attending this session participants will learn:
Identify which donor segments give during an emergency and how that's affected by your organization's mission.
To enhance the attendee's learning experience, we are looking for a variety of presentation styles. Please indicate your style: A panel of presenters
