11:30 AM - 12:30 PM: Breakout 1
The long-term success and health of your organization depends on your donors. You don't want to just stop at a one-time gift, so it is important to keep your donor communications fresh and engaging. Your organizations can't afford not to move beyond just text to communicate the purpose and impact of their nonprofit. In this session, you'll see how the Commemorative Air Force (CAF) and The National World War II Museum achieved tremendous success after crafting thoughtful and strategic appeals for a significant moment in our history - the 75th Anniversary of World War II in 2020. You'll discover how interactive appeals were used so donors could participate in memorials and pay homage to specific battles, which exceeded each organization's fundraising goals. You'll see how to use donor research to deeply understand why donors support your cause and then how to deliver innovative and creative content to increase giving and donor engagement.
