Bio: Katherine Holman, Ph.D., CCC-SLP is an associate professor in the Department of Special Education at Towson University and a certified speech-language pathologist. Dr. Holman is the director of the Teacher as Leader in Autism Spectrum Disorder Master’s program and a regional autism consultant. She is a co-editor of the book, “School Success for Kids with Autism.” The focus of Dr. Holman’s work is the development of interventions to improve social connections and communication, effective professional development and coaching systems and strategies for empowering families. Dr. Holman was awarded a Wilson H. Elkins Professorship in 2018 from University Systems of Maryland.
