Bio: Dr. McDonald teaches music at Theodore Roosevelt High School an inner city public high school in East Los Angeles, as a second career assignment. Roosevelt is 97% Latino and many students are second language learners. This follows a 40-year distinguished career, first as a choral conductor in Baltimore, Maryland, and then as a church musician in Baltimore and LA. His choirs were featured on television, at the Pentagon and invited to sing for a presidential inauguration. The transition from music director to inner city classroom has refined his gift for communication, and has ignited his heart for the undocumented and disenfranchised.
