Bio: Dr. Gia Grier-McGinnis has previous experience in a broad range of areas, including community-university program development, informal environmental education, health equity and environmental justice, and community-engaged research. She believes in cultivating the change agency of youth and young adults and has a passion for community engagement and STEM inclusion. A proud Baltimore City native, Grier McGinnis is a graduate of Western High School. She earned her bachelor’s degree in environmental studies from Washington College and her master’s in environmental policy from the University of Michigan, with a focus on environmental justice and health and diversity in the environmental field.
