Bio: Melissa Ann Merritt is a fifth-grade teacher at Monarch Academy Annapolis. Prior to teaching, Melissa worked as a Victim Advocate Supervisor in Florida. Melissa has been involved in victim services since 2004 when she interned at the University of Central Florida. Melissa holds a Victim Services Practitioner Designation in the State of Florida and is also a certified Targeted Mental Health Case Manager. In 2015 and 2016, Melissa adopted her sons Camron and Rylan from foster care. Melissa then founded a non-profit agency, Adoption2Action, Inc. – which provides post-adoptive services to families who have adopted from the Foster Care System.
