Bio: Carolyn Rich Curtis, PhD. a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, is author of Mind Matters: Overcoming Adversity and Building Resilience. She was the founder and director of The Relationship Skills Center. Her organization was awarded two federal grants that worked with couples and their young children. The Administration for Children and Families acknowledged her success in three monographs and an invitation to speak at the White House. In her 35 years in clinical practice, she specialized in working with couples, alcohol abuse, and trauma. She was an adjunct faculty member at CSU Sacramento and American River College.
