Bio: Ashley Bennett is the lead counselor for SHIP of Frederick County’s New Horizons Program. SHIP intentionally develops services that are individualized, youth-focused and adaptable.

Ashley received a bachelor's degree in Social Work from Hood College in 2014 and has been working within the community outreach, youth engagement and program development spaces for the past 5 years. Ashley’s past lived experiences of homelessness and housing insecurity emboldens her commitment to ensuring young people have a voice in conversations on programs and policies intended to serve them.
