The Online Students are Here! Reimagining Support Services for Online Student Success
We are a small college at a large private university. We will discuss our pilot to move our student services online, and how COVID-19 forced us to launch these initiatives school-wide in the spring of 2020. We will discuss successes and challenges.

Melissa Kaufman, Director of Academic Innovation, Drexel University, Dornsife School of Public Health
Melissa Kaufman is the Director of Academic Innovation at the Dornsife School of Public Health, Drexel
University. She collaborates with faculty to develop online courses and to convert face-] to-face courses to an
online or hybrid. She is particularly interested in online course building that increases student engagement as well
as building faculty skills. Melissa graduated in 2016 from Drexel University with a Masters in Human Resource
Development, Instructional Design and eLearning Concentration.

Michelle Quigley, Associate Director, Student and Alumni Services, Drexel University, Dornsife School of Public Health
As the Associate Director, Student and Alumni Services, Michelle is passionate about creating
opportunities for growth and facilitating connections for DSPH students and alumni. Michelle’s focus includes
career development services for students and alumni, with signature programs including: Professional
Development Seminar Series, Alumni Mentor Program, and Career Fair. Michelle received her MA in Student
Affairs in Higher Education Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
