Barbra Burch, Manager of Research and Development, QM Quality Matters
Barbra Burch is currently Manager of Research and Development at Quality Matters and has been with the company since 2011. Prior to that, she was a Learning Assistance Center Coordinator at Guilford Technical Community College and adjunct instructor of English. She served as an Academic Advisor and Student Affairs Research Assistant at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Burch was also Editor at the Unviersity of Illinois at Chicago for four years.

Bethany Simunich, Director of Research and Innovation, Quality Matters
Bethany Simunich has worked in higher education for over 20 years, with a focus on online learning for the majority of that time. She has experience as a face-to-face and online instructor; instructional designer, faculty developer; distance learning administrator; and trainer and consultant for online pedagogy, design, and implementation. Her research interests include presence in the online classroom, online student and instructor self-efficacy and satisfaction, and outcomes achievement.
