Description
Wikipedia often is known as an unreliable source. However, did you know that online classes can help improve Wikipedia? This poster will explain how this teaching strategy worked during COVID-19 through three of the Quality Matters General Standards.

Identify a course that could use Wikipedia as part of instructional and assessment efforts.
Align a course's module objectives with Wikipedia research and writing efforts.

Melony Shemberger, Associate professor of journalism and mass communication, Murray State University
Dr. Melony Shemberger is associate professor of journalism and mass communication at Murray State University. She is faculty regent on the university’s Board of Regents. At Murray State, she was a Faculty Teaching Fellow from 2015-17 and was interim director of the Faculty Development Center in 2016. She earned a Doctor of Education from Tennessee State University. She is pursuing a master’s in instructional systems design at the University of Kentucky.
