Building Templates to Improve Faculty and Students Experience, Collaboration, and Engagement
Online engagement, and teaching pedagogy is dependent on your course design, and technology skills. This session will give you tools, templates, and ideas to support faculty in adopting methods that support students, and faculty engagement.
Learning Objectives
Participants will be able to create and adopt templates to support student engagements
Participants will utilize delivery and design tools to reduce repetitive lower level tasks
Participants will engage in conversation, exchange their experiences regarding the tools/issues

Maryam Rod Szabo, Education Program Consultant, Iowa Department of Education
Maryam is an Education Program Consultant at the Iowa Department of Education. Previously she was an Assistant Professor of Education. She has taught K-12 English as a foreign language, higher education online and face-to-face classes of educational technology and design, and online learning and design. Her dissertation and research are focused on faculty development and online technology and pedagogy. She held an instructional designer role, and Quality Matters Coordinator. She currently is a Quality Matters Master Reviewer, Facilitator.

Stephanie TeKippe, Associate Professor of Education, Assistant Dean of Faculty Development, Wartburg College
Stephanie is an associate professor of education, co-chair of the department of education and assistant dean of the faculty development at Wartburg College. She leads faculty professional developments to offer online instructions, and have both her masters and doctoral degree in Instructional Design.
