Fleming Park Revitalization
The Chesapeake Bay Foundation is partnering with a community group, local jurisdiction and local organizations on a regional shoreline revitalization. The Fleming Park Revitalization project builds on guidance for innovative reuse of maintenance dredge material from the navigation channel of the Baltimore Harbor and an ongoing collaboration between regional, organization and community partners to create a new public landscape that supports recreation, flood risk reduction, habitat restoration and reconnect a historically African American community to its shoreline.

This presentation will dive into building regional coalitions, fostering community relationships and addressing environmental justice issues by supporting a plan for climate resiliency.

This session will provide tools for community engagement to equip participants to effectively communicate, interact and build relationships with diverse audiences.

There are creative and traditional ways to work with community groups, agencies and organization partners. The strategies and tools will push you to step out of your comfort zone, yet successfully engage your audience and meet your collective project goals.
