Meredith Pindar is the Immigration Legal Specialist for New Jersey’s Department of Children and Families (DCF). In this capacity, Meredith supports Department staff by providing education on immigration matters, developing partnerships with stakeholders in the immigration field, and assisting in the development and implementation of Department policies and practices that relate to immigration to help staff more effectively and efficiently serve immigrant clients. Meredith has presented on the intersection of child welfare and immigration at national conferences such as the Child Welfare League of America’s 2018 National Conference and the American Bar Association’s 2017 Conference on Children and the Law. Prior to joining the Department, Meredith served as a Deputy Attorney General in New Jersey’s Attorney General’s Office representing the Department in child welfare proceedings and administrative appeals. She is a graduate of Cornell University and Temple University’s Beasley School of Law.
