Simeon Niles is a Health Insurance Specialist in the Innovation Center at CMS where he advises Senior Leadership and model teams in the development and implementation of new payment and service delivery models. Previously, he led the design of the Direct Contracting Geographic Population-Based Payment model option, the first-ever model that will delegate total cost of care risk for all Medicare FFS beneficiaries in a geographic area. Prior to that, led a team toward the design and successful launch of the Accountable Health Communities Model, CMS’s first-ever social determinants of health service delivery model. Prior to joining the Innovation Center, he was a Federal Healthcare Consultant where he provided legal, analytic and project management support to clients by monitoring the development of federal and state legislation and regulations. He received his JD and MPH from Emory University in Atlanta, and his BA from Hunter College in New York City.
