Michael Wagner received his B.S. in Political Science from Middle Tennessee State University. He received his J.D. from Nashville School of Law in 2009 and was admitted to the bar the same year. Michael began his employment with the State of Tennessee in 2007 and has served in his current role as TennCare Chief Administrative Judge since 2013. Michael currently oversees an office of twenty-five attorneys serving as administrative judges who hear more than 17,000 cases annually. Michael previously served in agency various roles, including counsel for the Office of the Commissioner’s Designee and assistant general counsel representing TennCare in thousands of administrative medical service hearings.
